Growth and success: International Director joins Acclimatise

Acclimatise has a new Technical Director to start off 2010 in a buoyant mood and is set to expand our capabilities, particularly in the Water, Oil and Gas, Chemical and Mining sectors. Alastair Baglee has joined Acclimatise from WorleyParsons, the major international resources and energy company that provides professional engineering and project management services to the energy, resource and complex process industries.

At WorleyParsons, Alastair was their Regional EcoNomics™ Director for Europe & Africa, a role that incorporated business development and the instigation and directorship of an innovative sustainability service called EcoNomics™, based around risk management and environmental economics. This service created significant interest and traction with many of WorleyParsons’ largest customers.

In addition, Alastair led a number of important sectors for WorleyParsons, including Non-Financial Risk Management, Corporate Responsibility and Carbon Services (carbon markets, mitigation, carbon disclosure and adaptation). In 2007 – 2008, Alastair was a recipient of the John Grill Award for innovation and exemplary services to WorleyParsons in Europe.
