Scope:

Acclimatise assisted the UK Climate Impacts Programme with the further development of the prototype UKCIP Adaptation Wizard. The Wizard provides a web-based process for organisations to assess climate risks and develop adaptation strategies.

The improvements to the Wizard include:

• taking on board new developments in other climate risk management and vulnerability assessment tools
• modifying the step by step process
• improving usability
• incorporating uncertainty assessments into the process.

Acclimatise expertise:

• Acclimatise helped UKCIP to further develop the step by step web-based process for an organisation to understand climate risks, and identify and appraise adaptation measures
• Acclimatise experience of working with businesses on climate change adaptation was fed into the development of the revised Wizard
