Scope:

Acclimatise was retained as a technical adviser to assist with the development of a number of climate adaptation assessments. These assessments are based on real case studies led by stakeholder organisations. The studies make extensive use of the tools and techniques developed by the UK Climate Impacts Programme (UKCIP).

The cases studies deal with major urban regeneration schemes, water resource and flood management and agriculture. Additional case studies looking at the impact of climate change on the design and operation of health care facilities are underway.

The ‘adaptive capacity’ of the partners has been increased through formal training programmes and the provision of hands-on experience.
