Client:City of London
Project:Developing a climate adaptation strategy for the City of London
Year:2006 - 2007

Scope:

The City of London needs to ensure that its services and infrastructure continue to function appropriately in the face of climate change, so that the city continues to thrive. Acclimatise was appointed by the City of London to develop an action-oriented climate adaptation strategy for the City. This project made use of the UKCIP Risk, Uncertainty and Decision-Making Framework to identify the key climate risks and opportunities for the services and infrastructure managed by the City of London. It recommended an adaptation strategy and actions required to address climate risks and take advantage of opportunities.

The City of London intends that its adaptation strategy will be a ‘model’ for other local authorities to emulate, befitting the world’s leading financial centre.
