Consultation on IFC’s Performance Standards notes that climate change risks should be addressed in ESIAs.

The IFC Performance Standards are currently under review. IFC’s Progress Report on the review process states that IFC believes that the private sector needs to adapt to climate change and climate change risks should be addressed in Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIAs).

Our economic and business structures are increasingly exposed to the direct impacts of a changing climate on supply chains, design, asset value, process performance and markets, and to the indirect impacts on value, growth and return.

Acclimatise offers world-class expertise in climate change risk management. We help our clients understand and manage the business risks from climate change and climate variability.

Climate change will bring risks and costs to those who are unprepared and business opportunities to those have analysed the impacts. We provide practical advice and a unique portfolio of tools, risk assessment services and risk intelligence products to help manage these risks and realise the opportunities.
